A Welsh Christian mixed media illustrator lucky enough to live in a coastal town in Pembrokeshire.

I call myself a mixed media artist as I love to play with all mark making materials. Often I reach for my oil paints and my watercolours Also with pastels, charcoal, graphite and digital. The projects I work on call for a range of materials and I enjoy playing with them all. Inspired by the beauty here in Wales I illustrate people, plants and animals, if its nature, I LOVE IT.

Inspired by nature.

– Matthew 4

Rooted in Scripture.

– Psalm 27

The Saints

See my latest series of saints. Instead of writing icons I decided to illustrate them in my style. I illustrated them during my time exhibiting my Stations of the Cross series. I chose them based on my local churches, St David’s is my personal church, St Katharine and St Peter’s is the church I was exhibiting and St Mary’s is the local church to where I live. The items they have around them are representations from the stories of the lives they lived. Each one is painted with watercolour on a cotton paper and finished with neocolors and intense pencils. This is my favourite way to work.

Yes, the backgrounds are gold!

Greetings Cards.

– Most of my greetings cards start out as artworks in response to a bible passage theme.
Ordinations, Baptism, Weddings and Anniversaries are some of the favourites.

Postcards.

– Postcards are used by organisations as takeaways for conferences and meetings and are focused on the theme of the event.

Story Focused.

– The bible is of course our greatest inspiration and the greatest story ever told. To not include story in my illustrations would be impossible.

Non-fiction.

– Focusing on a single subject to help aid in the understanding of text or to bring colour and joy to something that’s at risk of being, well, boring.
